Thank you for your email. Yes, you are correct; however, my conversation last night, very late, with Dr. Jim was one of ensuring we could complete Chapter 3 as painless as possible He felt that if I based my topic on leadership styles using Transactional, Transformational, and Passive Avoidance, then cross those leadership styles with Information Technology Tool Usage, we would have a solid way of differentiating each style and that would produce a more quantitative empirical study methodology. I at first resisted; however, after reading my chapter 1 again, I am now convinced that it makes a lot of sense and should be easier to get a DONE dissertation. We will now look at assessing and evaluating each leadership style with effectiveness and technology tool usage as our measurement.

jfbaxterTestimonials Dissertation Help
I have to tell you Anthony, that if it would not have been for Dr. Baxter’s great and prompt help, I would not have been able to complete my Thesis on time to graduate on May 13th… I was able to finish the entire project, all 120 pages, and without Dr Jim’s help… I could not have made it!!! I presented my final thesis on April 15th–and it was accepted. I am getting an advance degree from NYU and they did not question my methods or statistical analysis, which by the way Dr. Jim helped me develope by designing the survey, run the analysis, and eventually helped me with the results chapter –so my advice to you is: be wise, don’t waist time and start ASAP with Dr. Jim today–you will succeed.
Again… Thank you Dr to you and your team–you were tremendous helped!

jfbaxterANOVA
What are the assumptions for ANOVA?
Response from Dr. Jim
In testing hypotheses that produce parameter estimates (estimated means), GLM Univariate assumes: (a) The values of errors are independent of each other and the variables in the model, (b) The variability of errors is constant across cells. This can be particularly important when there are unequal cell sizes; that is, different numbers of observations across factor-level combinations. (c) The errors have a normal distribution with a mean of 0.
When drafting a results section, assumptions should be evaluated before actually testing the hypothesis. One should examine, normality, linearity and homogeneity of variance.

Response from Client:
I am looking forward to working with you. Your comments made this seem much more “doable” than I had been feeling. Your indication that my paper needed little editing and was essentially well written and constructed have boasted me as well.
I did try to find if there was anything negative about this service or your organization in particular, and all I found were positive things.
Thank you. We will talk soon.

Question About Online Service:
I am trying to determine where I am at in order to determine the support I need and at what point in the process. This will help me answer your question. My topic was approved by my advisor. She has asked that I write a “rough draft” comprehensive proposal that consists of the Introduction, Review of Literature, Methodology and Timeline. (50-70 pages to begin)
The study is quantitative and I will begin collecting data in July during our districts Title I elementary summer school (2nd grade students). I would love to know your thoughts on timing and also learn more about the support your retreat can offer me. My goal is to be completed and defended by August 2011. I need to get my proposal done, approved by committee and approved by IRB soon. They typically want all approved prior to collecting data.
Question: Is it worth the expense?
Response from Dr. Jim:
It’s difficult to answer your question since value can be very subjective. However, we just finished the Arizona retreat and had a good and productive time. Since you need to crunch numbers and draft results, it will be less expensive for you to attend the retreat then to do it online—though we can assist either way. What makes the retreat such a good value is that you get hands on experience with stats, assistance with drafting the results, and full guidance to complete it in just a few days.
If you are still interested, I would like to talk to you further about the hypotheses and data collection—I have a few questions
Many thanks

Dissertation Retreat
Dear Dr. Jim,
It has now been a week since I left the dissertation retreat in Phoenix, and I have been telling everyone I know what a fantastic experience it was for me, and just how much progress I made in a short period of time! As a student who has been away from my home university for several years, I have struggled to find adequate support and expertise as I tackle chapters 3-5. Statistics have never felt like one of my areas of strength as a researcher, and so I had been particularly anxious about completing this critical piece of my research project. I am happy to say that with your help and guidance, I not only feel that the data analysis portion was completed successfully, but also that my proficiency when it comes to data analysis improved exponentially. In the short term, I feel very confident about the results section of my dissertation and know that my committee will be impressed with my thorough understanding of the analyses. In the long term, I have no doubt that the skills I developed during the retreat will serve me well in my future career.
I highly recommend the dissertation retreat experience, and hope that you will feel free to pass along my name to others who are considering taking part so that I can answer any questions they may have. Thank you again for the huge part you have played in helping me achieve my goal of FINALLY completing my dissertation!
Sincerely,
Elisabeth B. Morray, MA
